Western green lizards (Lacerta bilineata) occur in several different language regions; larger populations of these beautiful reptiles live in German-speaking areas (Germany/Switzerland) as well as in Spain, in Great Britain and in French-speaking areas (France/Switzerland) and in regions where Italian is spoken (Italy/Switzerland).
